Bushlands Reserve Community Group

'Growing Together'

Mission Statement

Bushlands Reserve Community Group is dedicated to building a place of 'togetherness', as an outdoor hub, nurturing our environment and community.

Bushlands Reserve Community Group was established in 2021 as a partnership between local organisations and residents, to rejuvenate and upgrade Bushlands Reserve as a park and community space.

Springfield Residents Association, Chertseydale Community Cottage, Springfield Pond Wetland, Rotary Club of Erina, Chertsey Primary School P&C and local families, are all working together towards this goal.

Our aim is to turn the reserve into a community hub, inclusive of all people, by developing and enhancing the natural environment and existing facilities.

In February 2022, we completed our first goal - repainting the bike track.

This was done with the financial support from the Rotary Club of Erina and the manpower of council. And it looks fantastic!

We are working towards establishing a Community Garden, putting in extra shade, planting more trees, creating a sensory and/or bushtucker garden, nesting boxes for our wildlife, regenerating the surrounding bushland and hosting a variety of events, workshops and community activities.

We are a community group made up of a diverse group of volunteers from different backgrounds.

If you'd like to get involved, we'd love to hear from you. Just get in touch via our contact page or Facebook; Bushlands Reserve Community Group.
